Holiday Oatmeal

         

Here’s a great recipe to start a cold day with:

1/4 cup Steel Cut Oats

1 cup Water

2 tbsps Maple Syrup

1/4 tsp Stevia

1 tsp Cinnamon

1/2 medium Apple, chopped

1/4 tsp Vanilla Extract

Dash of Nutmeg

Dash of Salt

Handful of Hazelnuts and Walnuts

 

In a small pot, bring the water to a boil and add the oats, apples, sweeteners, and spices. The apple will add a great sweet flavor to the dish! While the oatmeal is cooking, crush a handful of Hazelnuts and Walnuts to top off your breakfast. Cook until the oatmeal is a consistency you like. I cook mine for about 20 minutes.
