Here’s a great way to get FOUR superfoods in your system in one shot!
2oz Aloe Vera
6oz Coconut Water
1 tsp Honey
10 drops of Marine Phytoplankton
I got my coconut water from an actual coconut which you can buy at many health food or oriental markets,but you can also use packaged coconut water. Aloe Vera and Honey can be found easily at most stores. Marine Phytoplankton is a little trickier to get a hold of, I bought mine online at sunfood.com.
Here are the benefits of these foods:
Aloe Vera: “The gel of raw aloe vera contains vitamins A, C, and E, the minerals sulfur, calcium, magnesium, zinc, selenium, and chromium, as well as antioxidants, fiber, amino acids, enzymes, sterols, lignins, and most importantly, polysaccharides. Aloe’s polysaccharides have a particular lubricating effect on the joints, brain, nervous system, and the skin. These polysaccaraides are long-burning carbohydrates and provide steady energy over time” and they “allow the human immune system to fight back chronic viral, nanobacteria, and fungal infections.” Aloe Vera is also helpful for “all types of digestive problems and can aid in recovery from digestive illnesses… (Wolfe 2009:166-167).
