Strawberry, Cantaloupe, Goji Berry Breakfast


This is one of my all-time favorite fruit salad breakfast combos!

Just chop up 1 cup of fresh cantaloupe and 1 cup strawberries and throw in about 1/3 cup of dried goji berries.

It’s delicious, easy to make, and good for you. Here’s why:

Goji berries are a ‘superfood’ and can be found in any health food store or ordered online. Here’s what superfood guru David Wolfe has to say about them in Superfoods: The Food and Medicine of the Future:

“Overall, goji berries boost immune function, increase alkalinity and vitality, provide liver protection, improve eyesight and blood quality, deliver anti-aging compounds, and possess a number of additional outstanding qualities… In Asia, goji berries are traditionally regarded as a strong sexual tonic. In addition, goji berries act as a general tonic to improve overall stamina, mood, and well-being while decreasing the impact of stress on our bodies. (Wolfe 2009:19-20,22).”
